Yeah, I think I remember that speaking challenge Sudeep is talking about. It's perfect if you need some motivation and encouragement. If you need corrections, however... that's another story. I remember that people were extremely nice and the most popular type of feedback was "you speak very well, keep up the good work" without any criticism whatsoever. Though, again, for some people that's just what the doctor ordered so who am I to judge?
On the bright side, there were audio recordings of people speaking Russian as a second language (hopefully someone found my corrections and explanations useful), and they were very helpful for my understanding of the problems non-native Russian speakers face. So if you're curious what people from all over the world sound like in your native language, it might be a good idea to join this challenge even if you don't want to record anything by yourself.

Yes, once I tried it on itlaki and it was opened by a teacher
How interesting I didn’t get that, when I was on Italki, I just made the writing challenge in May 2018. Did you get any feedback?
Unfortunately No, I didn't get any feedback as there were many English learners and It was kinda challenging for people there(especially the few Native English speakers who participated in that challange) to give feedback to all.
BTW, this speaking challenge along with the writing challenge was once organized by a lady from Germany but alas, we didn't have many enthusiastic participant then.

How interesting I didn’t get that, when I was on Italki, I just made the writing challenge in May 2018. Did you get any feedback? Today I was memorizing a poem in my target language and thought that I could try to memorize a poem in every language I know or simply studied but without any feedback, however, I doubt that I can keep up my motivation.

Yes, once I tried it on itlaki and it was opened by a teacher(sorry,I don't remember his name.) but I couldn't do it for 30 days. 15 days or so was the best I could give it a go. I think writing challenge is more successful than the speaking one.

I never have. Not yet, at any rate. Not enough discipline, maybe? (sigh)

I was thinking to find a new challenge in my language learning journey and try to record myself to see if I make any progress. Did anyone among you all participate to a challenge of this kind?
If yes , where? Was it strenuous ?
