I didn't know much about this so I consulted a friend who's a doctor and she confirmed that generic drugs really seem to measure up to brand-name drugs' standards. If that's the case I wouldn't mind using them. I'm really not into paying extra for branded products just for the sake of it.

When it comes to analogs, my friend didn't want to make any general statements. They are different and the possible side effects can vary greatly depending on what's in them. It might not be an issue in one product but can be a serious problem in another. It will then also depend on who takes it and how such side effects could affect them.

Are there any doctors, people from a pharmaceutical industry or someone who gets the answers about medication? (originals vs generic drugs; analogs vs generic  drugs).
 
Also, it’s widely discussed in Russia that some countries produce medication of the lower quality and it’s better to avoid. What do you think?

1. I'm thinking  if buying generic drugs is a good idea as prices might be a few times cheaper in a comparison to original medications. What do you think and why? (besides a price).

2. If consider to buy generic or analogs, what is better and why?

According to the information in Russia -analogs have a different active substance that have the same effect as an original medication, while generic have the same one.


3. Is it possible to find any difference between generic and original meditation? I was trying to find information in a paper box but didn’t find. Though I noticed  that some medication has “R” letter in a name.

I think it is quite an outdated cartoon. For Eastern Slavs   Southern Slavs picture will be more fitting.
