Yeah, a Spinner would be a good word.

I‘ve never gone in for conspiracy theories. I liked that old Oliver Stone movie from the 90s or so, JFK I think it was called. But, after awhile, I‘ve noticed that conspiracy theories sort of fade away, maybe have a shelf life and then no one cares.

It‘s like the 9/11  conspiracy theorists.

Noam Chomsky gave a good talk on this several times. He doesn’t mention it here, but I heard him say that, as a general rule, secrets are pretty hard to keep, especially on something as large as the 9/11 conspiracy theory, but he goes on to make a couple of pretty valid points:
