Well first of all the books are full of lies - case in point Castro's nationalization of US industry on the island, (which is the basis for the U.S. embargo) is portrayed as a natural response to Eisenhower lowering the sugar quota.  What is ignored is the lowering of the sugar quota was a response to Castro selling sugar to the Communist block at more favorable rates and his forcing US petroleum interests in Cuba to refine Soviet oil or face economic repercussions. 

The list of lies goes on and on, I stopped reading after a while.

You do bring up a good point tho Steve, and I will open a new thread on it in worldwide politics later today.
